Kim Dae Jung

Kim Dae Jung is dead. He suffered for his freedom, tried to do his best by his country, and started no wars. I do not wish to wade into what are Korean matters (not that it would matter anyway), nor to embrace all that hyperbole about 'The Nelson Mandela of Asia'. Kim made serious economic mistakes at the behest of the globalisers. Nor am I making a sectarian point about the first Catholic leader of the Republic of Korea.

It's just, well, I admired the man, and hope that he rests in peace.

I am learning Korean at the moment, but am not confident with Hangul. Kommapssunmida! is what I should have said.
