The Exile is very strong meat for some. You may find some of the swearing and imagery on his blog offensive, and you may not agree with his politics. Yet the most offensive things I have found are the stories of the ruthless and underhand behaviour of social workers he has detailed.
Exile has been, with accumulating success, listing occasions on which these employees of the regulatory state have lied, or abused the family court system, to remove children from parents.
They are presented at his blog, in a sourced and justified way, as similar to their Australian forebears who snatched and 'rehoused' aboriginal children. The difference is that social workers generally direct themselves at the working class, but they view themselves as representative of a superior, state-sanctioned culture in the same way.
As with criminal justice, the number of lawyers prepared to work in this area, and their remuneration, has been in serious decline. Yet the number of social workers, who style themselves 'professionals', when they are patently not, has been on the rise.
These people are very frequently isolated and pressurised within social work environments in which fellow workers and bosses preach one thing, and then behave in a completely different way. Some social work employees have responded to this with the idea that they should be somehow 'trained in compassion', which tells you a great deal about their mentality, and their lack of a proper human education. Some have no doubt taken advantage of employment protection and resources about the stress they acquire when carrying out their work. These are resources, of course, completely denied to their victims.
