Mad Jose Biden for Vice-President

The best presidential candidate this year was a man of humour, grit and intelligence who of course didn't get anywhere near the nomination, which is why I did not go on about him. Even if it is obvious to you by now that I wanted Republicans like Paul and Huckabee just to blow that party up, please--if any reader has any influence at all--pressurise whoever you know to get Senator Joseph Biden of Tiny Delaware, Mad Jose to my one troubled reader, nominated as the the Democratic Candidate for Vice President of the United States.

It makes sense and he's excellent. Here's a particularly mischievous video of his from earlier in the year that I just love to replay. Don't tell me that tune doesn't convey some subliminal message to you too.

A Jacksonian Republican Party Democrats in the United States frequently lay claim to the heritage of Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson. They present the two as tribunes of the revolutionary people, and Jefferson-Jackson dinners are often occasions at which aspiring candidates can strut their demotic stuff, as it were.
